What people are saying.
Priya is the most thoughtful practitioner my family has ever worked with in any medical or consulting area. She is incredibly high integrity and honest and will tell you if something falls outside of her area of expertise (which in our experience was nowhere.) Our efforts to pull apart cause and effect with some of the challenges our daughter was facing were very hard and Priya was and continues to be incredibly knowledgeable, with specific, actionable suggestions, while also being a practical “mom”, who understands what is really doable. Her approach of being proactive (but gently) and also an exceptional listener/reader (emails) to help pace our care has been invaluable.

I cannot express with words how truly grateful I am that YOU are the OT who worked with us. Without your referral recommendations, I do not have any confidence that I would have received the [specialist] referral when I did. During the OT eval you confirmed my concern and that gave me the confidence I needed to aggressively advocate for [my child] to secure the referral.
I am just so so grateful for you, Priya.

Priya was a light in a time of (what felt like) darkness in the early days with our newborn. My daughter had a new tongue tie diagnosis which comes with a whirlwind of appointments and visits and relearning how to feed. Priya is intelligent, funny, and so kind. She spoke to my 10 week old daughter as if they were old friends meeting again. She found issues that our pediatrician had missed, and gave us strategies and creative ways to mend them. Everyone needs a Priya in their child’s life, I recommend her completely and only wish I had found her sooner.

After my son had his frenectomy procedure done at around 2 weeks, we were just given some instructions on how to do the post- surgery exercises without any follow- ups after that. Deeply traumatized by this procedure post- delivery and still no success with breastfeeding, I saw another Lactation Consultant when visiting the Bay Area. The LC recommended I see Priya because she thought my baby's Torticollis was also contributing to him not being able to latch on.
My son was almost three months old then. Even though a bit late, working with Priya was the best decision I've made for my son. All his doctors and nurses dismissed my concerns and made my frenectomy surgery and torticollis concerns sound unnecessary.
Priya's first visit was an in- home visit. We got a small bag of goodies with rattles, teethers, a pair of swaddles and cards which were my son's favorites for a long long time. I was so impressed with how thoroughly she examined my son and even more thorough was her notes from the visit and the exercises she recommended. I saw a dramatic improvement in my son within a couple of weeks.
Priya is not only knowledgeable, but very generous with sharing her resources. Since I live out of state, she made sure to do the research for me and recommended providers based on my son's needs for continued care. I haven't found another therapist as good as her again because Priya is hard to match. After seeing Priya, we really feel like we have a better understanding of alternative Pediatric Care that is more holistic and involves practices such as Begin Balanced. That will be a life- long lesson from having worked with her. Also, follow her page on Instagram.

I started working with Priya during one of the most challenging times of my life. My son just recently had his tongue and lip tie removed, could not breastfeed and I was an exhausted first time mom to a 2 week old baby. She came into my home and had not only so much knowledge, but also so much empathy, I have never felt in better hands. She went above and beyond checking in on me and giving me words of encouragement and validating how hard it was. I cannot begin to tell you the impact she had by reaching out and making sure I was okay too. She worked with me on a realistic plan of exercises and answered any questions I had. Thanks to Priya my son quickly became a breastfeeding champ and I in turn became a sane mommy. I could not be more grateful, I refer everyone to her!

It's really hard to put into a few sentences Priya's effect on my family. As first-time parents of a then 5-month-old with a severe tongue tie, Priya came into our lives at the most perfect time. She is thoughtful, patient, and so knowledgeable. I don't want to imagine where we'd be if Priya hadn't been referred to us. She helped my son, but in many ways, she helped me as a first-time mom even more. I can't recommend her enough! If you have Priya on your team, you'll be in the best hands!
From a very thankful mom with a thriving 1-year-old :) Moraga, CA
It took me incredibly long to write this testimonial because it's so hard to capture in a few sentences just how awesome Priya is. We couldn't have asked for a better partner than Priya to support us on our baby's development. When we got in touch with Priya, we were aware of a few things that our baby needed help with, but no one had connected the dots for us on how they were all related. Priya quickly evaluated what the root cause was and took a holistic view on how to fix it. Our son needed his oral ties to be revised because they had reattached after the first procedure. Priya was our guide through literally every step of the way before and after the second procedure and well beyond that. We couldn't have achieved the positive outcomes we did without our constant support. We've learned so much from Priya on ALL things baby, and it makes us so much more confident in how we support our son's development. She really is a wealth of knowledge, which she brings to bear for her clients with kindness and empathy.

Priya is so knowledgeable, kind and helpful. She really cares; it’s clear this is what she’s meant to do. We also really appreciated how careful she was regarding Covid.

As a first time mom, you question everything! You see all these people talking about their babies on social media and you have apps that show developmental milestones... you can become a bit overwhelmed with your child's development.
I got tired of being consumed with content and decided to ask an expert. I'm so glad I consulted you, Priya. As an occupational therapist myself (I work with adults), I understand the knowledge that OTs have when it comes to children's development.
I had some concerns about my sons oral motor development. She has been extremely helpful in helping me understand his development, signs to look for, and strategies to help! I would recommend her to anyone who has concerns about their babies development!
- parent of a pre-crawling infant, Ann Arbor, Michigan
We interviewed and worked with two occupational therapists before finding Priya to support our daughter. Our daughter has struggled with impaired vision, fine and gross motor function, and sensory processing issues. Priya has an ability to know exactly what is going on with a child and find a positive way to bring their strengths to light. She makes her sessions fun and engaging. Most of all, our daughter beams to work with her when she comes to our home. Priya’s exceptional ability to be a leader, therapist, mentor, teacher, advocate, and healer, is unsurpassed. Professional and accurate in her assessments, she has an amazing ability to have attention to detail and see the big picture at the same time. You will find calm, peace of mind, and comfort in her care. We are so grateful to have Priya's guidance and to learn how best to support our daughter’s growth and development. She is brilliant!”

I'm a private practice lactation consultant. As an IBCLC, I tend to see complex cases, including those infants with tongue tie, plagiocephaly, and torticollis. With these cases, there are many factors! It is fantastic to have a therapist available to support families toward feeding goals, who understands that oral function is absolutely linked to the smooth function and free movement of the whole body! Her approach with families is kind, with do-able steps. I have observed HUGE improvements in the families that she has worked with. She knows her stuff and is a clear communicator.
- IBCLC, Walnut Creek, CA
I was lucky enough to connect with Priya online - we’re both OT’s specializing in the infant feeding and development space, and she was more than willing to meet virtually to go over case studies, share business strategies, and recommend courses. It’s been amazing to have a shared vision of helping babies and their families, and Priya has become a wonderful colleague who I very much admire.
- Occupational Therapist & Certified Lactation Counselor
I have to say that I didn’t know what to expect when my (IBC)LC referred me to an OT (Priya) for our son’s tongue tie, but from the moment we got on the phone her calming presence was reassuring. She is so knowledgeable, patient and caring that working with her has been a joy and we’ve worked together with such great success. Her communication is strong, she’s flexible and cares so deeply for her patients and work.
- Parent of a 2.5 month old, Oakland, CA
Working with Priya was so beneficial to our family. Following my c-section of a breeched baby, I was concerned about my baby’s right head turn preference, feeding issues, lip/tongue tie and mouth breathing. Priya helped me understand what was happening, the root cause, and long term effects; she gave us her honest advice based not only on her expertise, but on her own experience as a mom as well.
In an area where specialists can send you from pillar to post to find the answers you need, and where incentives are so hugely misaligned, Priya’s candor and objectivity was invaluable—she helped us simplify, prioritize, and for our own sanity, to take it all one step at a time.
If you’re thinking about working with Priya, do it! You’ll be hard-pressed to find better OT support for your newborn.
-Parents of 2 month old, San Francisco, CA
Priya was amazing in helping us navigate the laundry list of items we had to buy in preparation for our baby's arrival. She didn't just recommend one brand of stroller - she recommended a few and provided the context where each might be helpful, showing that she is thoughtful of how other people's needs may differ from her own. She is also helpful with giving pros and cons for items we chose that were not on her list of recommendations.
- Prenatal Parents, New York, NY
We had narrowed it down to this [baby gear] one and another. I think you just made the decision for us....This advice and everything you provided in general was REALLY, REALLY helpful. Thank you so much. We’ve altered our registry accordingly.
— Prenatal Parents, Washington, D.C.
When our daughter was 2 months old, she had developed a head turning preference and a flat spot, and was diagnosed with lip and tongue ties. Contrary to our pediatrician and osteopathic physician recommendations, Priya advised us not to wait and to start addressing the issues. She developed comprehensive tools for us to use in our daily interactions to reverse the processes, especially when it came to the environmental changes we could make. These were so helpful! She didn’t stop there though. Her holistic approach prompted her to coordinate the full care with other providers that were beneficial to see in tandem.
These were very vulnerable times for us as a young family and new parents, but we felt supported and encouraged by Priya along the whole way with regular check-ins, tweaks and tricks, empathetic behavior, and just feeling her love for our daughter and us as parents. We are beyond grateful to have followed Priya's advice since we started seeing results in about two weeks after implementing her recommendations. Priya is a wealth of knowledge and joy in our lives!

My collaboration with Priya has been a dream come true. Priya possesses a wonderful balance between theory and practice due to her many years of experience as a classroom teacher, expertise as an Occupational Therapist, and holistic approach to work with children and their families. Our school's consultative work with Priya was most impressive because of her acute awareness of all stakeholders' experiences, mostly importantly that of the child(ren) under our care. Supported by her keen eyes on research across disciplines, Priya's work process and product is consistently and expertly well informed, relevant, and practical. I highly recommend exploring her services for private practice at the child and family level, as well as in a consultative role within school-based contexts.

Priya is a powerful educator and an absolute life force. Not only do I still marvel at her endless patience and determination, I am routinely moved by her compassion and positive regard for my son. He often sits by the door in anticipation of her visit. That’s how engaging and fun he finds her, despite how much she challenges him. She has that rare expertise and effectiveness behind the good intentions and encouraging words. Keenly observant and incisive, she is consistently responsive to his development, so his sessions are maximally beneficial. She is head and shoulders above all the other therapists whom my son has had in this area. Although I am a critical and demanding person, I cannot think of a single way to improve her.
What Priya has coaxed out of my youngest boy is astonishing. He is a better person for having met her, as am I.
~ Parent, Kentfield, CA
Priya is an advocate and expert. She has helped me and my son’s teachers better understand his needs and showed me how to champion my son through example. She is clear and direct in her communication, patient and detailed in her explanations of his challenges and growth. My son and my family loved working with her!
~ Parent, San Francisco
Priya is truly one of a kind! Her knowledge and expertise in both Occupational Therapy as well as classroom structures makes her an asset to any school. She was able to provide us with practical classroom modifications to best support the students in our school. Priya always goes above and beyond for every teacher, family, and child she works with. She has each child’s best interest at heart and her supports make meeting each child’s unique needs in a general education classroom feasible. Priya is by far the best OT I have ever had the pleasure to work with!!
~ Teacher, Marin County, CA
Priya is the definition of a Unicorn. It’s rare to meet a person whose determination to advocate for what’s right, dedication to her work, and brilliance in providing nothing short perfection is unparalleled. She gives you her very best because she doesn’t know how to do anything less.
We were at a huge loss when Priya entered our lives. Our son’s school lacked the necessary skills to provide any classroom support or suggestions on what to do at home. He was changing right before our eyes - from a happy, curious boy who loved to learn, to a sad, discouraged child that often cried about going to school.
Priya changed all of that.
Through thorough evaluations, multiple visits to each classroom our child attended, Priya not only identified where our son needed help (and it wasn’t close to what the school had suggested) but provided detailed programs for the teachers in the school to implement in general because all the the students would benefit.
The change in our son was immediate, but that isn’t the most remarkable thing Priya did for us. She advocated so strongly with the school and when she realized it was fallen on deaf ears, she told us to remove him immediately. This was 8 weeks into the school year. We listened and I will be eternally grateful she was confident enough to make the determination and share her opinion with us. It was the best thing we could have done.
To date, our son is THRIVING. He loves his new school. Our happy, curious boy is back!

We felt so lucky to have such a wonderful, kind therapist come to our home and help our kids improve fine motor skills. Priya is the kind of therapist who does not push more therapy than necessary, or make small issues seem bigger than they are. This is not always the case with therapists and it was something that I really appreciated. She is honest and to the point, but kind and empathetic. She was so dedicated and passionate about helping our kids. They loved her and all her games and creative ways to work on OT! They just thought they were playing not working! Priya is so organized and thoughtful in her approach and gives clear suggestions to work on until the next session. She was amazing and I would recommend her again and again. We were lucky to have her in the kids’ lives!
~ Parent, San Francisco, CA
Priya’s has without a doubt quickly earned my trust and loyalty. Her deep understanding and knowledge of how to optimize your child’s growth and development clearly shows in her research and work. Her recommendations are tailored to each child, and spot on. Her gear and toy recommendations are the best - at least 50% of my 5 month old’s toys and products were recommended by Priya!
~ Parent of 5 month old, Austin, TX
Priya has the genuine kind of rapport with children and interest in their lives that can never be taught. Her ability to work with teachers to offer functional and realistic strategies to assist students in their classrooms has been instrumental to many of our students’ learning. In addition to in school support, she provides families with various activities to foster independence and develop students’ problem solving skills outside of the school environment as well.
~ Teacher, Novato, CA
Priya helped our son discover his strengths while also giving him the knowledge and vocabulary to understand and describe his challenges. She empowered him as an individual, and us as parents, with tools and strategies that are easy to implement in the midst of a hectic schedule, but also very impactful and confidence-building for us all. She is not daunted by challenges, listens carefully to the whole family, and creates fun, effective and heartfelt interventions that bring real change and growth!”

Priya is the best OT I have had in 23 years!!! She is organized, works exceedingly well with the kids; meeting their needs while making working on their goals age appropriate and fun. She develops interactive activities....and attends all IEP meetings where her insight into individual students’ needs and ongoing progress is invaluable.
~ Elementary School Principal, Novato, CA
We love you, Priya! You have been a total blessing to my daughter and I. You have trusted what you know, how my daughter feels, and trusted in my position as the expert on my daughter. You have been the greatest medicine for her mind, body and spirit. From the bottom of my heart - Thank You!
~ Parent, San Francisco, CA
Priya was an asset to our school! We miss her collaborative nature and ability to provide realistic strategies to teachers; her years as an elementary school teacher make it easy to connect with her on how to effectively support children in the classroom. Priya has an ability to connect with students that provide the greatest challenge to teachers. She figures out what they need and works relentlessly to help them succeed in the school setting all while making sure their teachers felt supported. We miss Priya so much!

Priya has changed [our son’s] life and he will cherish what she taught him throughout all of his life, which is the enjoyment of physical activities.
~ Parents, San Francisco, CA
I feel confident saying that Priya is the best Occupational Therapist I have ever worked with. The combination of her intuition, expertise, kindness, experience, and knowledge make her a top-notch professional and a wonderful person to learn from. She truly cares about the families that she works with and makes sure she tailors the treatment to their individual needs. If a family member (or myself) needed an OT I would absolutely reach out to Priya for help!

Thanks again for all your work with our son. He’s come a long way and you were a big part of that. When we started working with you, he was struggling with his coordination and we’re thrilled that he can now swim so well. He’s so much more confident on the playground, too. All your work has definitely made him more functional at school. Just yesterday morning, he joined right into a soccer game at school without hesitation. Additionally, the classroom calming box you made for him has been invaluable and we appreciate your help in working with the school on that.
You are a great therapist. We are so happy that we were introduced to you!
